The lonely lands of Tezu have its antique population as Mishmi Tribes. It still has the King and Queen of the Mishmi Tribe residing now. They contain a rich tradition (still followed) dating support to the time of Mahabharata. Since the beginning of the Arunachal Pradesh, Tezu has been an integrated part of it.
It’s equally a pilgrimage and a rest for those who love the adventours of life. Known for the Parshuram Kund wherever devotees from all over India come to offer prayers while taking a holy dip in the kund to wash away their sins throughout the festival of Makar Sankranti in the month of January every year. Where and Why
A different aloof place as they identify it; wherever the wilderness lurks one moves in the beauty of the nature. The adjacent station is Diburgarh since where you can receive the road to Tezu via Tinsukia. A zig zag road, NH37 which leads its way to Dhaka via Tezu. You resolve see the Mishimi Hills on your way to Tezu, the sceneric loveliness following you all the method to Tezu.
Start your journey from Mishimi Hills. Standing there admist the wild you will observe the hills covered through lush vegetation, tropical evergeenery and the pine forests. Arrest this view in your memories or in your camera. This place is not much habitated and there arent a lot of a services. Besides it pours here without a warning! The Mishimi citizens live a life of the past, cultivating Jhum, opium poppy and devote their time looking after Mithun (Wild Cow). They dote on the beast but as well sacrifice them for puja (prayer).
Not far since here is the Lohit District. Occupied by Tai Khampi people, this place is filled with Burman and Thailand culture. Gilded Stupas and monasteries dot the Khampi sentiments. Present were a few little who might speak English (take a Guide along with you). Enjoy your journey as you move past the lush greenery. |
